“Queer Eye” is a reboot of the 2003 show “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” showcasing a brand new “Fab Five” cast

The series focuses on five gay men who work together to give straight men the makeovers they want. The first season contains 8 episodes that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. According to Radiotimes, the new version of the show will explore social issues in greater depth than before.

“In a time when America stands divided and the future seems uncertain, a team of five brave men will try to bring us closer together with laughter, heart, and just the right amount of moisturizer,” Netflix said in a statement. “The Emmy Award winning Queer Eye is back and ready to Make America Fabulous Again.”

Unlike most makeover television shows, “Queer Eye” does more than just fix the clients outer appearance. Buzzfeed reported that the show spends a good amount of time focusing on each guy’s emotional well being. The “Fab Five” is sure to let the client hear a lot of positive comments and not just negative comments. The viewers really enjoy seeing the cast take care of all the guy’s mental health

*Warning Spoiler Ahead*

The first episode of the series focuses a single grandfather and three-time divorcée named Tom who lives by himself out in Atlanta borders. He has a steady diet of greasy Tex-Mex food and has low self esteem. Tom wishes to fix himself up and hopes to win back his third ex-wife Abby. The episode really shows how heartwarming and touching the series really is since the “Fab Five” let Tom know that the only ugly thing about him is his hateful comments about himself. In the end they gave Tom the makeover and confidence he has dreamed of. Not only that, but they reunited him with his old flame Abby. The first episode really kicks off the series!
